At Disabled American Veterans Chapter 92, service is a lifelong mission — one we proudly carry forward every day in honor of those who have given their all.
Our chapter serves the Victor Valley and High Desert communities, providing vital support to disabled veterans and their immediate families. Through claims assistance, community outreach, food distributions, and advocacy, we work to ensure that no veteran stands alone.
Whether navigating VA benefits, finding community, or facing life’s next chapter, DAV Chapter 92 is committed to walking beside those who once stood watch over us all. Service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off — it evolves. Here, it grows into fellowship, advocacy, and action

DAV Chapter 92 is honored to carry the name of William “Bill” Kinnard, a local son of the Victor Valley who exemplified the highest ideals of service and sacrifice.
Born on November 3rd, 1947, Bill grew up in Hesperia, California, where he was known for his love of horses and his time spent with the Hesperia Wranglers, a community organization that remains active today. A proud graduate of Victor Valley High School, Class of 1965, Bill’s early years were filled with camaraderie, hard work, and a strong sense of belonging.
In September 1967, Bill answered the nation’s call and was drafted into service. He became an airborne infantryman with the 2nd Battalion, 501st Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division — the storied “Screaming Eagles.”
Tragically, PFC William Kinnard was killed in action on April 11, 1968, while serving in South Vietnam.
He is laid to rest at Victor Valley Memorial Park in Victorville, California, and his name is forever etched on Panel 49E, Row 23 of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.
Today, the Kinnard family continues to be part of the Victor Valley community, and the spirit of Bill’s sacrifice lives on through our chapter’s work.
We honor his memory by standing for every veteran who needs a voice, a helping hand, or a community that understands.
At DAV Chapter 92, we stand strong in service to those who served.
We offer claims assistance, run food pantry distributions, host community events, and provide ongoing support — so that every veteran, regardless of when or where they served, knows they are never forgotten.
