As we step into a new year, our hearts are full of gratitude. What an incredible year it’s been for Disabled American Veterans Chapter 92 and our Auxiliary! After taking a well-earned pause to rest and recharge the last couple weeks of 2025 and the start of 2026, we’re excited and ready to move forward with renewed energy and purpose.
Before closing out the year, we proudly swore in new leadership for both our Chapter and Auxiliary. For the Auxiliary, we welcomed Crystal Horne as Commander, Betty Quintana as Senior Vice Commander, and Claudia Overson as Junior Vice Commander. We’re excited about this leadership team and deeply committed to continuing our mission of serving High Desert Veterans and their families with compassion and dedication.
Our annual Christmas party was especially meaningful this year. In addition to swearing in our Chapter officers-Justin Horne as Commander and Lillian Pederson as Sr Vice Commander, we were also very humbled to receive two very generous donations.
Apple Valley Rotary Club President, Rick Bui and fellow Rotarian, Jonathan Dvareckas (who has double duty as our Chapter Adjutant and Treasurer) presented the Chapter with a generous $1,000 donation. The Chapter also received a $1,500 donation from US Patriot Armory which if you did not know, is a Veteran-Owned Business (Go Army!). Support like this truly makes a difference. Partnerships with organizations like the Rotary Club allow us to expand our reach, strengthen our programs, and connect with more Veterans throughout the High Desert.

As we look ahead to 2026, our passion for serving Veterans continues to grow. While our hearts and dedication are strong, we know we can do even more with the continued support of our community. Together, we can empower Veterans to live high-quality lives with dignity and respect by helping them access earned benefits, advocating on their behalf, educating the public, and providing cost-free programs and assistance to disabled Veterans and their families.

Thank you, High Desert, for standing with us.
Thank you to the Rotary Club of Apple Valley and US Patriot Armory for your generosity and support.
Thank you to our Chapter and Auxiliary leaders and members for your unwavering support.
And above all… thank you to our Veterans
You are the reason we serve. We are here because of you — and always for you.
